myWind ("the App") is a wind and weather forecast app for kitesurfers and water sports enthusiasts. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Location (optional)
When you grant permission, the App uses your device's location to find nearby kite spots during initial setup. Your coordinates are processed on-device and are not sent to our servers or stored remotely.
Saved Spots & Settings
Your saved spots, preferences, quiver, and session logs are stored locally on your device using browser storage (localStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
Weather Data
The App fetches weather forecasts from Open-Meteo and tide data from Storm Glass. These requests include the latitude and longitude of your saved spots. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for how they handle this data.
Feedback (optional)
If you choose to submit feedback, your message is sent via your device's email client (mailto) on the native iOS app, or via FormSubmit.co on the web version. We only use this to respond to your feedback.
All user data is stored locally on your device. There is no remote database, no cloud sync, and no server-side storage of your personal data. Deleting the app or clearing browser data removes all stored information.
The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App has no accounts, no tracking, and stores data only on-device.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
